Schedule Transportation
All transportation services for Lowndes County are scheduled at the Haynesville Office by (334)548-6364. Transportation services for Greene, Hale, Perry, Choctaw, Dallas, Marengo, Bibb and Sumter counties can be scheduled by calling the Demopolis Office at (334) 289-5789 or Call Toll Free at (877)-799-5789. Senior Nutrition Center
The Main Office in Demopolis, Alabama for WAPT is also host site for the Senior Nutrition Center. Nutritious meals are served daily Monday - Friday for citizens 60 and over. The spouse of an eligible participant can also eat a nutritious meal. All volunteers that help during mealtime are able to eat lunch as well. Participants are able to engage in fun ageappropriate activities while enjoying the company of peers. The Senior Nutrition Center is also able to deliver Homebound Meals to certain individuals: 1) citizens with disability and living with an eligible participant, 2) Citizens with disability living in public, low-income housing where a senior center is located and 3) a caregiver that is 60+ years. The Senior Nutrition Centers are made available through funding/partnership with the Alabama Tombigbee Regional Commission/Area Agency on Aging.
